Symmetric (private-key) cryptography: This is anâ encryption systemâ in which sender and beneficiary have a similar key. The key used to encode a message is additionally used to decode the scrambled message from the sender. Awry (open key) cryptography:  In this technique the genuine message is encoded and decoded utilizing two distinctive scientifically related keys, one of them is called open key and the other is called private key. To give the most extreme security utilizing cryptography we focus on the accompanying five zones: 1.      Integrity 2.      Non-renouncement 3.      Authenticity 4.      Confidentiality 5.      Privacy Trustworthiness: Trustworthiness is only message must not be adjusted or altered. There are a few possibilities for harm ofâ data integrityâ in the E-trade territory. Blunders could occur when entering information physically. There are numerous approaches to limit these dangers to information uprightness. We can keep up the Back upâ of our information effectively by refreshing regularly.  Modern innovation gives us different security systems to controlling access to data.  We can improve the information respectability through designingâ user interfacesâ that forestall the contribution of invalid information, for instance menu driven applications which permit client to pick specific they are looking for.  We can utilize theâ error detectionâ and adjustment programming when transmitting information to create honesty.  NONREPUDIATION: Anticipation against any one gathering from reneging on an understanding after the fact. For E-trade and other electronic exchanges, including ATMs (money machines), all gatherings to an exchange must be certain that the exchange is secure; that the gatherings are who they state they are (validation), and that the exchange is checked as last. Frameworks must guarantee that a gathering can't in this manner deny (dismiss) an exchange. To secure and guarantee computerized trust, the gatherings to such frameworks may employ Digital Signatures, which won't just approve the sender, however will likewise time stamp the exchange, so it can't be asserted along these lines that the exchange was not approved or not legitimate and so forth. Verification: In E-trade, confirmation is a procedure through vender approves the data gave by the purchaser like charge card data. In thisâ process confirmation of both the cardholders character and the installment cards subtleties are checked. In E-business exchanges merchants must be cautious and dependable to give great installment confirmation administrations. A very much created and actualized exchange confirmation procedure will diminish the quantity of client questions and charged-back exchanges. In the event that the E-trade site don't have the great confirmation framework could lead an incredible loss of the two information and money.â  CONFIDENTIALITY: Secrecy is shielding our information from unapproved clients. That implies whatever the information or data shared by the vendor and the clients ought to be gotten to by those two gatherings as it were. No other ought to have the option to access such information. To amplify the secrecy we should follow goodâ encryption and decoding techniques, appropriate confirmation and approval methodology. We should utilize great antivirus or programming blunder identifications framework. Protection: Protection is a significant worry in E-business territory which tells the E-trade client to what extent their own data will be put away in site proprietors database, how securely they erase such close to home data and what are the legitimate moves will be made if the internet business site is abused. In online exchanges, the site proprietor or specialist co-op will be able to track all the buys made by a purchaser. Every E-business site has its own protection strategy, according to the requirements of the organization.  So the clients must experience the security strategy before they use E-trade site for internet shopping. In any case the clients need to stage large issue as the vender has the lawful rights to make a move on client for abusing their site. To dispose of this issue now a days we can utilize numerous instruments like separating site with low protection evaluations In the online business security, a portion of the issues to be considered in this issue they are computerized marks, declarations, secure attachment layers, firewalls. I will clarify every single idea with detail clarification. Hegemony and Youth Culture - 1087 Words

Hegemony is a concept that involves uses of power. It was created by Antonio Gramsci in order to understand the difference between dominant groups in society that have power and that use â€Å"intellectual and moral leadership† in an attempt to win over the less powerful submissive groups (Storey 8). In this way, hegemony will be demonstrated in youth culture. Willard states that the cultural authority of the dominant society must be questioned as to its legitimacy in the dominant role as the authority plays an important role in its production (739). Talcott Parson (qtd. in Osgerby) says that youth in his view, established behaviours and values, often perceived by older generations as unique and different from the dominant society which†¦show more content†¦Others that called themselves the authentic gothic community didn’t particularly like this and thought they sought resistance they had been portrayed the wrong way. They then used the internet to counte ract this by posting on sites that the shooters of columbine weren’t true Goths and had merely adopted gothic fashion (Griffiths 240). This indicates that the influence of the media has misrepresented Goths as something they are not. In this case Goths had achieved the resistance from the powerful dominating society they sought if not in the way they planned to. Though Goths have been outcast by the media, Paul Hodkinson (qtd. in Osgerby) illustrates a different portrayal of Goths in society, they pride themselves on having â€Å"individuality, creativity, open-mindedness and commitment† (132) and this is shown in society by applying themselves in creative works, sometimes involving their usual job. Popular entertainment also applies to hegemony in its use of power as there is a dominant view that through the use of popular media, video games, particular theatres and other popular forms of entertainment youth has been badly affected and influenced by these. The transgression of juvenile crime in Britain in Victorian times in youth is thought to be derived from â€Å"penny gaff theatres† (Springhall qtd. in Osgerby 66). Zappos Swot free essay sample

Analysis of the Culture of Zappos. com Zappos. com is an online shoe store that was created in 1999 by a man named, Nick Swinmurn. Today it is a multi-billion dollar company thanks to its current CEO, Tony Hseih. One of the reasons Zappos. com has become such successful empire is because it got the economics and operations right. The management of Zappos. com is in my personal opinion, a necessity to a happy and thriving company. Their strategy is to find employees that are going to dedicate themselves to the environment and purpose of Zappos. com. They rely on passion, purpose, happiness, and emotional connection. If you don’t fit right into this, they even offer a $1,000 quit-that-day bonus. They strive on â€Å"weeding out† the employees that don’t extend their positive energy to the company. Zappos. com has a lot of different strengths, all of which play a part in their major success. We will write a custom essay sample on Zappos Swot or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page They are a company that focuses on company culture and hiring passionate employees. Which allows the company to run as Hseih designed it out to. Another strength that aids Zappos. com in success is their demand for effective communication. They also believe the importance and impact of feeling good, for both the employee and customer, is key. Tony Hsieh quickly discovered that becoming successful did not begin with the intention to make as much money as possible. He realized then that he should work towards making it a passion instead of an income. Passion and determination are contagious, he says. We believe in having a positive and optimistic (but realistic) attitude about everything we do, because we realize that this inspires others to have the same attitude. Which I believe is their biggest strength and most powerful. The weaknesses that affect Zappos. com are how the way their management affects their outside controls. Amazon just recently purchased Zappos. com for about $1 billion. One weakness they could experience is how Zappos. com’s fun and relaxed work ethic and environment collides with the way Amazon. com runs. Another weakness Zappos. com faces is the average salary a sales representative makes. Zappos. com main goal, and what most of its reputation is built upon, is customer service. To keep up with the high demand of customers seeking help and asking questions, Zappos has a large number of ustomer service representatives. Where this becomes a weakness is, Zappos. com pays their representative’s and average of $23,000 a year, three percent below the national average. This makes them vulnerable to other competitors. Zappos. com strategy is very unique in the fact that they focus on happiness. They want to make sure that not only the customers are satisfied, but their employ ees as well. They look for dedicated and passionate people to work hard and play hard. They a set of ten core values that the company lives by. They are deliver wow through service, embrace and drive change, create fun and a little weirdness, be adventurous, creative, and open-minded, pursue growth and learning, build open and honest relationships with communication, build a positive team and family spirit, do more with less, be passionate and determined, be humble. They use a strategy of making sure the employees are in good spirits and enjoy their work place. It reminds me of the saying, â€Å"happy wife, happy life. † If their workers are happy in their job then they will work harder for the company. This strategy puts Zappos. com at a definite advantage over other companies that, say, pay a higher salary. I know that I would rather work in a laid-back, fun and enjoyable environment over a bigger paycheck. If you’re miserable in your job it will leak into other parts of your life. The first recommendation I would provide Zappos. com is to cover more area. Instead of their main focus to online retail, they could open up Zappo storefronts to up their sales. Continuing their up-keep with social media is also a high recommendation for Zappos. com. They are a huge hit on Twitter, which allows their customers to see their every move and what exactly is going on with promotions and deals. They need to focus on their core values, especially the last of the ten, be humble. Earlier when there was a security breech in company, there were a lot of upset, confused, and concern customers. It takes a lot of patience to deal with that high volume of calls but if zappos. com sticks to the words they say they live by, they are going to continue to receive loyal customers who spread the word and their business. After graduation, Tchaikovsky began to work as a call servant In the Ministry of Justice while also discovering a social life filled with theater, ballets, and operas. But then In 1 862, Tchaikovsky enrolled in the SST. Petersburg Conservatory, resigning from the Ministry of Justice to focus on music. He studied theory and composition, piano, flute and organ under his principal teachers, Anton Rubberiest and Nikolas Cream. He also began to give private piano lessons of his own and composing his first few works such as Characteristic Dances that was conducted by Joann Strauss and String Quartet in a-flat major. Embodied into his national folk melodies with a western influence: he united the symphonic thought of Beethoven and Schumann with the work of Gillian, and transformed Lists and Berliners achievements in depletive-programmatic music into matters of Shakespearian elevation and psychological import (Wiley, 2006). In 1893, architraves composed his last work, the Sixth Symphony. The first movement was concerned with activity and passion; the second on love; the third on experimented, and then with a striking finale of despair, anguish and death; all Ninth richness of melody and gesture.Nine days after the symphony was performed, in October 28, Peter Tchaikovsky died officially from cholera, but disputably from suicide. How to Tell Your Parents Youre Failing a College Class

How to Tell Your Parents You're Failing a College Class Although there are things you can do if youre failing a college class- or even if youve already failed it- breaking the news to your parents is an entirely different problem. Chances are, your parents are going to want to see your grades from time to time (translation: every semester), especially if theyre paying for your tuition. Consequently, bringing home a nice fat F probably wasnt on your list of things to do this semester. Given that no one is going to be happy about the situation, the best approach can be a basic one: Be honest, be positive, and be sincere. Tell Your Parents the Truth About Your Grades Be honest about the grade. What is it? A D? An F? Its better to only have this conversation once. Mom, Im going to be getting an F in Organic Chemistry is way better than Mom, I think Im not doing so well in Organic Chemistry followed a few minutes later by Well, Ive failed most of the exams followed by Yeah, Im pretty sure Im getting an F but Im not totally sure- yet. At this point in your life, you undoubtedly know that parents deal better with getting bad news that can improve later than getting kinda bad news that gets worse later. So just be honest about your grade. What is it? What part of the equation is your fault (not studying enough, spending too much time socializing, etc.)? Own up to the situation and the responsibility. Honesty may be a bit uncomfortable, but it is undoubtedly the best policy in situations like this. Tell Your Parents How You Plan to Move Forward Present the situation as real- but also as a growth and learning opportunity for you. Okay, so you failed a class. What did you learn? That you need to manage your time better? That you spent too much time just hanging out with people? That you need to take fewer units? That you need to be less involved with clubs? That you need to cut back on your work hours? Let your parents know what youre going to do differently next semester so that this wont happen again. (Because really, who wants to have this conversation again?!) Mom, I failed Organic Chemistry. Looking back, I think its because I didnt spend enough time in the lab/didnt balance my time well/was too distracted by all the fun things going on on campus, so next semester Im planning on joining a study group/using a better time management system/cutting down on my co-curricular involvement. Additionally, let your parents know what your options are in as positive a light as possible. They most likely will want to know, What does this mean? Are you on academic probation? Able to keep up with your other courses? Not able to stay in your major? Be prepared for how you can move forward. Let your parents know what your academic situation is. Talk to your adviser about what your options are. Mom, I failed Organic Chemistry, but I talked to my adviser since I knew I was struggling. Our plan is to have me try it one more time next semester  when its offered, but this time Ill join a study group and go to the tutoring center at least once a week. Be Sincere About Your Next Steps You may think youre a pretty good liar, but parents can smell dishonesty from a mile away. You know it, and they know. So be sincere about what youre saying to them. Did you just goof up and learn a lesson about how important it is to go to class? Then tell them that instead of trying to blame it on a bad professor or lab partner. Also, be sincere about where youre going from here. If you dont know, thats okay, too- as long as youre exploring your options. Conversely, be sincere when you listen to what they have to say. They arent likely to be happy about your failed class, but they probably have your best interest at heart.

Landfill, Civilization, Disposability, Material Culture, Essay - 1

Landfill, Civilization, Disposability, Material Culture, - Essay Example 1 Production of disposable materials is a key concept in waste management. Common waste management practices include decreasing overall waste production, production of disposable materials, use of landfill and recycling. However, use of disposable materials as means of managing waste products has received much criticism from environmentalists.2 For example, recycling of disposable glass bottles, needles and syringes is responsible for spreading HIV, Hepatitis and other viral diseases. In addition to this, production of disposable material has led to dirtying the environment s such material take time to decompose. In addition to this, as the material decompose; they harbor bacteria and other organisms which cause diseases such as cholera. Lastly, disposable materials encourage users to be irresponsible as they throw waste material anywhere hoping it will decompose.3 It is therefore pointless for individuals to rely on disposable products. Instead, they should rely on recyclable materials. For example, shoppers can carry their goods in reusable bags rather than disposable plastic bags. Similarly, hand towels as well as other disposables should be replaced with cloth towel or hand

Short Starbucks Case Summary Essay Example for Free

Short Starbucks Case Summary Essay The Starbucks case is about the times when Starbucks did well and when it went poorly. It begins when Howard Schultz buys the company and put his plan in action. Schultz had a vision to make a chain of coffee shops and that would become the Americans â€Å"third place†. This â€Å"third place† would be a place where you could go and small talk with people and enjoy a cup of coffee, or perhaps be by yourself and drink your coffee. It was supposed to be a place between home and work. Schultz idea proved to be a good one and he could proceed to open up several coffeehouses across America. This would later be seen as a mistake. As Starbucks grew in recognition, Schultz expanded the business fast. The people at Starbucks had an ideal to follow; customer satisfaction. As the business grew, people would lose faith in Starbucks nice atmosphere and only see the company as a money making machine. Why was that? The ideal they followed was for the customer to be satisfied, to be met by a nice clerk and get the coffee fast. What the higher ups in the company first thought was that if they increased the hours of labor a week it would bring more time to small talk with customers and give them their coffee even faster. But they soon realized that the problem was in the marketing department. Starbucks had three sections that concerned marketing; the market research group, the category group and the marketing group. Starbucks lacked a strategic group that focused on the big picture. They also needed a chief marketing officer that could make decisions. This meant that the entire decision making process had to be done by all of Starbucks senior executives. All the data that was collected was for nothing if no one looked at it and saw what was wrong. However, now they knew what the problem was. At first Starbucks primary customers were people with education, mostly women between ages 24 and 44. They were still there but the new customers were less educated and had lower income bracket. These were the persons that only saw Starbucks as a money making machine. So now Day, Starbucks senior vice president of administration proposed that an investment of 40 million dollars per year to add additional 20 hours of labor a week. It met a lot of resistance in the company but Day said to look at it as a customer-oriented investment rather than seeing labor as an expense. This meant that Starbucks, a company with the policy to have as high customer satisfaction as possible rather than as much profit as possible were neglecting the customer. They were still using their original idea but now on the wrong customers.

Literature Essay -- Education, Reading

Literature has the ability to take students to new places, and it allows them to experience many things they will never encounter in their lifetimes. In an effort to afford this opportunity to experience new things to all children, numerous studies have been conducted to examine ways to improve elementary students’ reading skills and overall reading comprehension. Within these studies, scholars have discussed links between vocabulary acquisition, vocabulary knowledge, fluency, and reading comprehension. This paper discusses these links and strategies to help students improve all aspects of their reading. In 1997, Congress asked the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD, 2000) to select an independent panel of reviewers to evaluate research and literature in order to determine the most effective way to teach children how to read. This panel was comprised of fourteen individuals from a variety of backgrounds; scientists in reading research, representatives of colleges of education, reading teachers, educational administrators, and parents. The panel came to be known as the National Reading Panel (NRP). The result of the NRP research was that the most effective way to teach children to read is through diverse instructional methods and techniques. According to the panel, effective reading instruction should consist of teaching students to break apart words and listen for sounds (phonemic awareness), teaching students that sounds form words (phonics), having students read aloud and provide them with feedback (guided oral reading), and applying comprehension strategies to guide and build complete reading comprehension. With this new wealth of knowledge, the NICHD began distributing their findings to... ...ntiff. This enriched content allows little doubt as to what the meaning of the vocabulary word is. The reader is able to use this example to not only learn the meaning of the word, but to gain an understanding of the purpose and way to use context clues to construct meaning. Hacker (2004) pointed out that one important strategy that is central to improving students’ reading comprehension is students’ ability to monitor their own comprehension. This concept is carried out by students identifying and resolving their own errors in reading. Students need to be able to decide whether or not what they have read makes sense. If not, they need to realize that they have encountered an error and begin problem solving as to what needs to be reread. This skill is especially important as students get older and begin reading an increasing volume of text independently. The Effects of Globalization on Union Membership Free Essay Example, 1750 words

The term globalization is now occupying center stage in contemporary economic, social and political discourse. It is being projected as a phenomenon which has grave portents for the continued existence of the trade union movement and it is, therefore, necessary that the members of trade unions, including the rank and file, have a clear appreciation of its meaning and implications. The term has only recently been popularized, and there is a sense that the phenomenon has suddenly become an issue in academic, intellectual and popular discourse. It may well be true to say that prior to the 1990s, Caribbean trade unionists would not have focused significantly on globalization as a phenomenon in their teachings or even in their strategizing and planning on behalf of their membership. Yet, to the extent that emphasis was placed on explaining the economic history of the region, and of the world, in locating the birth and struggles of the trade union movement for existence, the emphasis wou ld have been placed on describing the economic foundations of globalization. Globalization is a creature of the thinkers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and policymakers of the dominant countries of the world. Few now see socialism as a path for human development, and most are convinced that the market is the mechanism for advancement. Underdevelopment in former colonial territories can no longer be blamed on the colonial masters but must be seen as the fault of the colonials, who no longer require aid and assistance. The demography of labor unions is far and widespread. The impact of liberalization on employment and wages are massive. A study in Indonesia and Chile reveals this phenomenon. This study divides the study period into two: the period 1991 to 1996 which is the reform period, and the period 1997 to 2000 which is called the crisis period. 1997 marks the genesis of the crisis currently afflicting the Zimbabwean economy.
